What we collect
When you create an account, we collect your email address and the name you choose to use. If you sign in with Google, we receive your Google account name and email address — nothing else from your Google account.
As you use ThriveSpace, we store the content you write: your Life Recipe, your current season, pillar reflections, weekly reflections, and Joy List items. This content is linked to your account and is visible only to you.
We collect basic, anonymous usage information — which pages are visited and which buttons are used — so we know what's working and what isn't. This data is aggregated and never linked back to you as an individual.
How we use it
Your account details are used to sign you in and keep your entries tied to your account. The content you write is stored so it's there when you come back — nothing more.
Anonymous usage data helps us understand which features are used and where people get stuck, so we can improve the product. We don't use it to profile you.
We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. We don't run behavioural ad tracking. Your reflections are never used to score, rank, or compare you with anyone else.
Cookies and analytics
We keep cookies to the minimum needed for the site to work. A single essential cookie keeps you signed in between visits — without it, you'd have to log in again on every page.
For analytics we use Umami, a privacy-friendly, cookie-free analytics tool. It doesn't set cookies, doesn't collect personal information, and can't identify you across sites. It simply counts page views and interactions in aggregate.
If you sign in with Google, Google may set its own cookies during that sign-in flow. Those are governed by Google's privacy policy, not ours.
Who can see your data
Only you. Your entries are protected per-account at the database level, so no other user can read them. There are no public profiles, feeds, or shared spaces.
Reminders are off by default. If you turn them on, they exist only to send the gentle nudge you asked for — nothing else is ever sent unless you ask for it.
Deleting your data
You can delete an individual reflection or Joy List item whenever you like. Deleting your account removes your entries along with it.
If you'd like us to delete everything manually, or export your entries before you go, email us and we'll take care of it.
Not a medical service
ThriveSpace is a reflection tool, not therapy or crisis support. We never share what you write with your institution, your family, or anyone else — but that also means we can't step in during a crisis.
If you're struggling, please reach out to your institution's support services or a local helpline.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and note the date below. If a change is significant, we'll tell you before it takes effect.
